2025 Season Info

Membership

The Academy is excited to offer this great program for our 20th year of activity. This program is designed for elementary & middle school students, ages 5-14. This activity is a great way to prepare students for high school guard programs or marching bands by introducing such elements as marching & drill. In addition, students will learn basic color guard skills & how to perform them!

The Academy Winter Youth Guard (AWYG) program begins this year in January and continues to March.  We plan to participate in the WGAZ circuit events with one performing team.  

Membership fees will be $275 and will cover the 2025 costume, show shirt, instruction, and equipment rental. 

Season Schedule

First meeting/Open House/Equipment Check Out/Practice will be held Sunday, January 5, 2025. Please note that this will be a full rehearsal that will span the entire scheduled time. All rehearsal etiquette, safety protocols, and parent information can be gathered on this day. This meeting is a MANDATORY and one parent/guardian must be at the meeting. Thanks so much!

Rehearsal dates:  Sunday, January 5 – Sunday, March 23, 2025
Rehearsal schedule:  Sundays from 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm

February 8, 2025 at Perry High School 
March 7, 2025 Jr. Guard Focus Show at Desert Vista High School
March 22, 2025 at Mountain Ridge High School
March 29, 2025 WGAZ Championships at Millennium High School
